Mój Boże jaki dziś upał...
Zupełnie jak w '69-tym...
Now that you've found your paradise
This is your Kingdom to command
You can go outside and polish your car
Or sit by the fire in your Shangri-la
Here is your reward for working so hard
Gone are the lavatories in the back yard
Gone are the days when you dreamed of that car
You just want to sit in your Shangri-la...
Put on your slippers and sit by the fire
You've reached your top and you just can't get any higher
You're in your place and you know where you are
In your Shangri-la!
Sit back in your old rocking chair
You need not worry, you need not care
You can't go anywhere...
Shangri-la! Shangri-la!! Shangri-la!!!
The little man who gets the train
Got a mortgage hanging over his head
But he's too scared to complain
'Cos he's conditioned that way
Time goes by and he pays off his debts
Got a TV set and a radio
For seven shillings a week...
Shangri-la! Shangri-la!! Shangri-la!!!
Shangri-la! Shangri-la!! Shangri-la!!!
And all the houses in the street have got a name
'Cos all the houses in the street they look the same
Same chimney pots, same little cars, same window panes
The neighbors call to tell you things that you should know
They say their lines, they drink their tea, and then they go
They tell your business in another Shangri-la
The gas bills and the water rates, and payments on the car
Too scared to think about how insecure you are
Life ain't so happy in your little Shangri-la...
Shangri-la! Shangri-la la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...
Put on your slippers and sit by the fire
You've reached your top and you just can't get any higher
You're in your place and you know where you are
In your Shangri-la...
Sit back in your old rocking chair
You need not worry, you need not care
You can't go anywhere...
Shangri-la! Shangri-la!! Shangri-la!!!
Shangri-la! Shangri-la!! Shangri-la!!!

Sad Road To The Sea
Kolejni synowie Albionu ze wszech miar warci należytej uwagi - Leaf Hound - to wyważone, acz dzikie połączenie hard rock'a z tzw. rock'iem psychodelicznym...

Drugi studyjny album z roku 1971 o wymownym tytule "Growers Of Mushroom" i jedna tylko perełka z niego - utwór "Sad Road To The Sea" niechaj wystarczą za lakoniczny dowód powyższej tezy...
SAD ROAD TO THE SEA
Make me a road, a road for all to sea
Built of thoughts, to last me eternally
Please make me a road
Your sad road to the sea
Take off my load, my load is killing me
This load of thought is really agony
I'll make my last stand
With all that's left of me
Sad road where are you taking me
Along the coast of eternity
I don't know what's become of me
My sad road to the sea
My sad road to the sea

Mona Mona
Piękne, mocne - łączące psychedelię i hard rock'a - granie z lat '70 wprost ze słonecznego Izraela. Grupa zwąca się wpierw The Churchills, potem Jericho Jones i w końcu Jericho...
Nas interesuje płyta "Junkies, Monkeys & Donkeys" - pierwszy album Jericho Jones z roku 1972.

Old Man
OLD MAN
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
Twenty four and there's so much more
Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two.
Love lost, such a cost,
Give me things that don't get lost.
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that's true.
Lullabies, look in your eyes,
Run around the same old town.
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you.
I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past.
But I'm all alone at last.
Rolling home to you.
Old man take a look at my life I'm a lot like you
I need someone to love me the whole day through
Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that's true.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Old man look at my life,
I'm a lot like you were.
Utwór o dziwnych losu kolejach z albumu "Harvest" z 1972 roku.

Birdman
Rare Birdman...
Bezpośrednim efektem spotkania tych gentleman'ów był jedyny album owej formacji zatytułowany, a jakże: "The Cheerful Insanity of Giles,Giles & Fripp".
Dość będzie zacytować samego Michaela Giles'a: " Chcieliśmy stworzyć muzykę łagodniejszą, delikatniejszą, subtelniejszą, a ponadto, tak to ujmę, bardziej przyjazną kobiecie.
To ponad 20 minut zmian stylów i temp, tworzących razem jedną z najbardziej niezapomnianych muzycznych podróży wszechczasów.

"Glimpses of Nirvana...
In the darkness of the night, only occasionally relieved by glimpses of Nirvana as seen through other people's windows, wallowing in a morass of self-despair made only more painful by the knowledge that all I am is of my own making ...
When everything around me, even the kitchen ceiling, has collapsed and crumbled without warning. And I am left, standing alive and well, looking up and wondering why and wherefore.
At a time like this, which exists maybe only for me, but is nonetheless real, if I can communicate, and in the telling and the bearing of my soul anything is gained, even though the words which I use are pretentious and make you cringe with embarrassment, let me remind you of the pilgrim who asked for an audience with the Dalai Lama.
He was told he must first spend five years in contemplation. After the five years, he was ushered into the Dalai Lama's presence, who said, 'Well, my son, what do you wish to know?' So the pilgrim said, 'I wish to know the meaning of life, father.'
And the Dalai Lama smiled and said, 'Well my son, life is like a beanstalk, isn't it?'
Held close by that which some despise
which some call fake, and others lies
And somewhat small
for one so tall
a doubting Thomas who would be?
It's written plain for all to see
for one who I am with no more
it's hard at times, it's awful raw
They say that Jesus healed the sick and helped the poor
and those unsure
believed his eyes
- a strange disguise
Still write it down, it might be read
nothing's better left unsaid
only sometimes, still no doubt
it's hard to see, it all works out
'Twas Tea-time at the Circus
'Twas tea-time at the circus: King Jimi, he was there
Through hoops he skipped, high wires he tripped, and all the while the glare
of the aching, baking spotlight beat down upon his cloak
and though the crowd clapped furiously they could not see the joke
'Twas tea-time at the circus, though some might not agree
as jugglers danced, and horses pranced and clowns clowned endlessly
But trunk to tail the elephants quite silent, never spoke
and though the crowd clapped desperately they could not see the joke
In the Autumn of My Madness
In the autumn of my madness when my hair is turning grey
for the milk has finally curdled and I've nothing left to say
When all my thoughts are spoken (save my last departing birds)
bring all my friends unto me and I'll strangle them with words
In the autumn of my madness which in coming won't be long
for the nights are now much darker and the daylight's not so strong
and the things which I believed in are no longer quite enough
for the knowing is much harder and the going's getting rough
Look to Your Soul
I know if I'd been wiser this would never have occurred
but I wallowed in my blindness so it's plain that I deserve
for the sin of self-indulgence when the truth was writ quite clear
I must spend my life amongst the dead who spend their lives in fear
of a death that they're not sure of, of a life they can't control
It's all so simple really if you just look to your soul
Some say that I'm a wise man, some think that I'm a fool
It doesn't matter either way: I'll be a wise man's fool
For the lesson lies in learning and by teaching I'll be taught
for there's nothing hidden anywhere, it's all there to be sought
And so if you know anything look closely at the time
at others who remain untrue and don't commit that crime..."

Natural High
Paul French - piano, organy i wibrafon
Chris Gavin - bass i gitary
Dave Knowles - saxofony, flet i klarnet
oraz Nigel Reveler - perkusja
Utwory aż kipią pomysłami i różnorodnością.
Utwory:
1.Just Like Stone
2.Don't Make Me Cry
3.Flying South In Winter
4.Dreams
5.You Make Me Jelly Roll
6.Natural High - pt 1
7.Natural High - pt 2
